Regions of Connected Knowledge

Face-to-face contact is still a vital business requirement especiallly in the knowledge-based economy. A smooth circulation of knowledge workers needs a strong transport infrastructure - regardless of national borders. The ROCK-project develops international, interoperable and consumer-friendly rail services.

Twelve partners

The ROCK partnership consists of regional authorities, communities and transport companies from the Netherlands, France, Belgium, Germany and the UK. Together, they have the critical mass to boost passenger transportation at a high level of scale, both cross-border and transnational.

Cross-border railway connections

The ROCK projects realise transnational mobility measures that have a high impact at a rather small budget. They create missing links for cross-border railway connections, implement international integrated ticketing systems and establish mobile passenger travel information.
